Essar Energy Transition Expands UK Retail with Harvest Agreement

Key highlights
  • EET to deliver fuel to 47 Harvest forecourts across the UK.
  • The agreement follows the closure of the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery.
  • EET provides access to supply hubs including Stanlow, Kingsbury, Northampton, Essex, and Grangemouth.

Agreement Overview

Essar Energy Transition (EET) has entered into an agreement with Harvest Energy to take over fuel delivery responsibilities for 47 dealer-owned, dealer-operated forecourts across the UK. This move aims to enhance the security, continuity, and resilience of fuel supply amid national supply uncertainties.

Strategic Supply Hubs

As one of the four UK refineries, EET will leverage its strategically located supply hubs, including the Stanlow refinery and terminals in Kingsbury, Northampton, Essex, and Grangemouth, to ensure efficient fuel distribution to the forecourts.

Impact of Refinery Closure

The agreement comes in response to the closure of the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery, which has contributed to supply challenges in the UK. EET's involvement is expected to mitigate these challenges by providing a reliable fuel supply to the affected forecourts.

Expansion Strategy

This development is part of EET Retail's broader strategy to expand its national footprint and develop a significant portfolio of Essar-branded fuel retail outlets across the UK.
