Jakarta office and capabilities

dsm-firmenich has opened a new Jakarta office that brings its three Business Units (Taste, Texture & Health; Perfumery & Beauty; Health, Nutrition & Care) together to improve synergies, customer collaboration and local innovation. The office is certified by the Green Building Council of Indonesia and includes dedicated customer co-creation and innovation spaces.

Local labs and pilot facilities

The Jakarta site features expanded Perfumery & Beauty creation and application labs, immersive sensorium experiences and air-care testing facilities. For food and beverage, it adds a baked-goods application lab and a pilot plant for dairy UHT applications, supporting faster prototyping and locally relevant formulation work.

Karawang expansion and sustainability

The Karawang manufacturing facility has been expanded to significantly increase production capacity, adding new drying technology capable of handling both high-fat and high-protein products and new culinary blending capabilities to improve efficiency. The site runs on 100% green electricity; electric heating is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 300 metric tons per year and heat recovery is projected to cut energy consumption by about 16%.

Inauguration

The Karawang official inauguration took place on September 14, followed by the Jakarta office opening on September 15, attended by senior company and APAC leaders.
