This accomplishment is part of the company's broader strategy to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and value chain by 2045, as validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

This strategy included long-term power purchase agreements with large wind and solar farms in Europe and North America, as well as local retail contracts and increased renewable purchases in China through several long-term contracts.

The company is also optimizing waste streams and collaborating with partners on new low-carbon solutions as part of its greenhouse gas reduction program.
