Dow has launched DOWSIL™ 5-1050 Polymer Processing Aid (PPA), targeting the demand for film packaging without fluoropolymer-based PPAs. This product is engineered for blown and stretch film applications.

Product Features

DOWSIL™ 5-1050 PPA offers benefits such as melt fracture mitigation and die lip buildup suppression in linear low-density polyethylene grades, resulting in high-quality films. It contains a silicone additive in a polyethylene carrier and is supplied as a masterbatch for easy integration into existing extrusion processes.

Regulatory Compliance

The product complies with European Commission Regulation (EU) 10/2011 and US FDA 21 CFR 174.5, ensuring food contact safety. It can be incorporated via dry or melt blending, enhancing its versatility.
