Commercial launch
Clean Food Group has commercialised its fermentation-derived triglyceride, CLEANOil™, and placed it into Raven Botanicals' 24 Carat Oil to Milk Cleanser, marking the first global skincare formulation to fully replace traditional oils with the ingredient.
Ingredient attributes
CLEANOil™ is positioned as a high-oleic triglyceride with oxidative stability and emollient properties intended to deliver the performance consumers expect from conventional oils.
Development and partnerships
CFG advanced CLEANOil™ from R&D to market over three years and established a strategic partnership with THG LABS in October 2024 to develop oils and fats from food waste using its CLEANOilCell™ technology.
Regulatory clearance and commercial focus
The ingredient secured regulatory approval for cosmetic applications in the UK, Europe and the United States in September 2025, enabling its move into commercial skincare formulations; CFG says it will now focus on supplying the beauty and personal care industry with scalable, functional and competitively priced ingredients.
