Key highlights
  • Current net production of approximately 300 MMcfd of natural gas.

  • Roughly 300 gross operated development locations providing meaningful growth and inventory life.
  • Silver Hill assembled the position between late 2021 and mid‑2023, operating up to four rigs and growing production from under 100 MMcfd to more than 300 MMcfd.

Deal overview

Centalion Group has acquired a portfolio of upstream and midstream Haynesville natural gas assets in Texas and Louisiana from Silver Hill Energy Partners. The package has current net production of about 300 MMcfd, roughly 72,000 net acres in the Haynesville and Bossier cores, and approximately 300 gross operated development locations.

Asset performance under Silver Hill

Silver Hill assembled most of the position via strategic acquisitions between late 2021 and mid‑2023, operated as many as four rigs, and increased production from under 100 MMcfd to more than 300 MMcfd. The company also expanded midstream and saltwater‑disposal capacity and secured long‑term gathering and transportation agreements that supported Gulf Coast trading opportunities.

Strategic rationale and plans

The acquisition advances Centalion’s Gulf Coast natural gas strategy and, on a pro‑forma basis, gives it one of the largest Haynesville footprints among private operators. Centalion, alongside Western Natural Resources (WNR), intends to run an active development program, grow the basin platform, and leverage integrated Gulf Coast gas capabilities to capture optimization opportunities across domestic and LNG demand points.

Management comments

Silver Hill Founder & CEO Kyle D. Miller framed the sale as the result of disciplined growth and risk management. Centalion Chairman & CEO Gary Pedersen said the group will deploy capital to develop U.S. natural resources, generate local economic activity, and bolster domestic energy supply.
