Opening and regional role

CATL opened its largest NING SERVICE centre outside Asia in Oslo on 24 September 2026. The 8,000 m² facility will serve Norway and the wider Nordic region and act as a brand experience and sales agent for emerging electric applications including vessels, eVTOLs and robotics.

Services and technical capability

The centre offers full‑lifecycle battery services—testing, maintenance, repair, insurance, second life and recycling—covering transport, energy storage and robotics. NING SERVICE says it has reduced complex repair turnaround from 72 to 48 hours, supports deep repair for 76.8% of EV models, and uses the Intelligent Eagle Eye System for traceability and quality control.

Circularity and skills development

Aligned with the Global Energy Circularity Commitment developed with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the centre aims to extend battery life and recover materials for reuse. The Foundation highlighted inspection, maintenance and repair as critical to scaling circularity. The facility will be NING SERVICE's main Nordic training hub, drawing on 14 instructors and a European training network while planning closer ties with Norwegian universities and technical institutions.

Network and partnerships

The centre complements NING SERVICE's global footprint of 1,394 service locations across 85 countries and supports targets to reach 100 countries by 2027 and 10,000 locations by 2030. CATL said the hub will leverage local partnerships—such as YES‑EU—to bring service closer to customers in the Nordics.
