- SEK 4 billion hoist at Garpenberg, built mainly 2028-2029, to sustain 4.5 Mt/yr production beyond 2030; environmental permit for 4.5 Mt/yr is appealed.
- SEK 1.5 billion industrial demonstration plant for SCMentum at Rönnskär, built 2026-2028, with 280 kt/yr capacity and meeting Boliden's IRR on conservative price assumptions.
- SCMentum is produced from smelting residuals and emits under 5% of the CO2 of traditional cement.

Planned investments
Boliden will invest SEK 4 billion in a new hoist at Garpenberg and SEK 1.5 billion in an industrial demonstration plant for SCMentum at Rönnskär to support future production and value creation.
Garpenberg hoist
The SEK 4 billion hoist, to be built mainly in 2028–2029, will enable sustained production of 4.5 Mtonnes/year beyond 2030 and allow mining of newly identified mineralisations with higher productivity; an environmental permit for 4.5 Mtonnes/year has been appealed and exploration to add resources and reserves continues.
Rönnskär SCMentum plant
The SEK 1.5 billion industrial demonstration plant for SCMentum will be built 2026–2028 with 280 ktonnes/year capacity; the product—made from smelting residuals and covered by a granted patent—meets Boliden's IRR on conservative price assumptions and emits under 5% of the CO2 of traditional cement.
Other updates
The capital market update will also cover the ongoing ramp-up at the Odda zinc smelter, an investment in a new tankhouse at Rönnskär and sand recycling projects in the Boliden Area.
