Contract scope

Axens has been awarded the contract to implement a 5,000 m3/day low-sulphur diesel hydrotreater (DHT) unit at YPF’s Industrial Complex in Argentina using its Prime-D™ technology.

Modular delivery and schedule

The unit will be supplied in a prefabricated modular form to support YPF’s fast-track schedule and to minimize on-site activity while maintaining refinery operations. Axens says its modular prefabrication approach reduces the overall project delivery schedule by six months compared with a conventional stick-built method.

Axens integrates pressure vessels, structures, piping and instrumentation within modules assembled in a dedicated yard. The company positions this as a competitive, derisked solution that limits site work and co-activity while optimizing CAPEX.
