Atyrau Refinery completes preventive maintenance and returns to operation
- First oil received 8 July; phased commissioning began 1.5 days ahead of the RK Ministry of Energy schedule.
- Plant now processes 16.2 Kt of oil per day and has refined 157 Kt of feedstock since resumption.
- Since reaching operational mode the refinery shipped 35.3 Kt gasoline, 48.7 Kt diesel and 5.7 Kt LPG; fuel deliveries ongoing without delays.

Return to operation
Following preventive maintenance, Atyrau Refinery reached operational mode. The first oil was received on 8 July and the phased commissioning of process units began 1.5 days ahead of the RK Ministry of Energy's schedule.
Production and shipments
The plant currently refines 16.2 Kt of oil per day and has processed 157 Kt of feedstock since resumption. Since process units reached operational mode, shipments total 35.3 Kt of motor gasoline, 48.7 Kt of diesel fuel and 5.7 Kt of liquefied petroleum gas. Fuel is being supplied without delays.
Maintenance scope and resources
During the preventive maintenance, mandatory technical inspections covered 20 reactors, 213 vessels, 32 columns and 231 units of heat‑exchange equipment; individual pipeline sections were replaced. More than 335 tonnes of catalysts were renewed and internal components of the vacuum distillation unit at CDU‑VDU‑3 were replaced to increase light product output. Approximately 1,700 specialists and over 50 units of special‑purpose equipment were involved in the operations.
