Plant Inauguration
ARLANXEO has inaugurated a new Therban® HNBR plant in Changzhou, China, enhancing its production capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region. The facility aims to meet the rising demand for advanced rubber materials in sectors like new energy and mobility.
Production Capacity
The state-of-the-art plant has a design capacity of 5,000 tons per year. The first phase, with a production capacity of 2,500 tons, was successfully commissioned in October 2025.
Technological Advancements
The facility incorporates advanced finishing technology to improve production efficiency and product consistency. It also features a thermal oxidation system that reduces carbon emissions by around 80% compared to conventional processes.
Sustainability and Safety
The plant operates with a closed-loop design for energy recovery and emission reduction, eliminating routine process wastewater discharge. The project maintained an outstanding safety record, achieving over 1.1 million safe man-hours without lost-time incidents during construction.
Global Integration
With the Changzhou plant now operational, ARLANXEO strengthens its global HNBR production network, which includes facilities in the Americas and Europe. The plant enhances local R&D capabilities, supporting innovation and application development across various industries.
