National Power Supply (Double A Group) orders ANDRITZ recovery boiler and evaporation plant
- Order value in the high double-digit million euro range, included in ANDRITZ’s Q1 2026 order intake.
- Start-up of the recovery boiler and evaporation plant scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
- Recovery boiler: 3,300 metric tons dry solids per day black liquor burning capacity, with electrostatic precipitator and automation.
- Evaporation plant: 727 t/h with lamella heating surfaces; integrated ARC system treats 220 t/d ash, reducing chloride/potassium and recovering sodium and sulfate.
Project scope
National Power Supply Public Company Limited (part of Double A Group) selected ANDRITZ to supply a recovery boiler and a black liquor evaporation plant for a new bioenergy power installation at Double A’s Tha‑Toom pulp and paper mill in Thailand. The systems will recover chemicals and generate renewable energy for the mill and the public grid.
Technical scope
ANDRITZ will deliver a recovery boiler designed to burn 3,300 metric tons of dry solids per day, equipped with an electrostatic precipitator and automation/digitalization solutions. The evaporation plant is specified at 727 t/h and features easy‑to‑clean lamella heating surfaces, superior condensate quality and comprehensive automation. An integrated ash re‑crystallization (ARC) system will treat 220 t/d of precipitator ash, lowering chloride and potassium content while recovering sodium and sulfate for reuse.
