Yokohama Site capabilities

The agreement will leverage AGC Biologics' new Yokohama Site, developed to support three modalities: mammalian cell-derived biologics, mRNA therapeutics and cell therapies. AGC estimates the site will offer one of the largest mammalian cell culture capacities among CDMO facilities in Japan, and commercial manufacturing services for the customer's products will utilize that capacity.

Timeline and network impact

AGC Biologics is progressing toward launching GMP-compliant services at the Yokohama Site in 2027. The site is intended to expand AGC Biologics' global network across Japan, the United States and Europe and contribute to the stable supply of biopharmaceutical products worldwide.
