Acquisition Details

Clean Food Group (CFG) has acquired the assets of Algal Omega 3 Ltd, gaining access to a one million litre fermentation facility. This acquisition positions CFG as a leading manufacturer of yeast fermentation-derived sustainable oils and fats.

Facility and Production

The 12-acre site in Knowsley, Liverpool, includes extensive R&D facilities and offers significant expansion opportunities. CFG has validated commercial-scale production, manufacturing two tons of oil in a recent fermentation run, demonstrating the robustness of its technology platform.

Regulatory Approvals

CFG's CLEAN Oil™ 25 product has received regulatory approval for use as a cosmetic ingredient in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States, enabling CFG to supply sustainable oils and fats at competitive prices.

Leadership and Future Plans

Bill Thurston, with extensive experience in oils and fats, has been appointed Managing Director of the Knowsley facility. CFG plans to advance its Series A funding round, expected in the first half of 2026.
