Tapì Group Partners with Trinseo for Sustainable Closures

Key highlights

Partnership for Sustainability

In early 2024, Tapì Group partnered with Trinseo to enhance its sustainability efforts by integrating Trinseo's ALTUGLAS™ R-LIFE™ VML-H CR50 polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) into its premium closures. This PMMA is a high-quality acrylic resin grade made with 50% chemically recycled content, aligning with Tapì's goals of reducing environmental impact and promoting conscious resource use.

Local Collaboration

Trinseo's depolymerization demonstration facility in Rho, Italy, located just 200 kilometers from Tapì's Campodarsego headquarters, underscores the importance of local collaboration and the Italian supply chain. This proximity not only facilitates efficient material sourcing but also emphasizes responsible management practices.

Industry Perspectives

Domenico Liberati, Chief Product Development Officer at Tapì Group, highlighted the potential of depolymerization recycling as a key to a sustainable future in PMMA. Aldo Zanetti, Global Sustainability Business Leader at Trinseo, expressed pride in supporting customers' sustainability goals through this partnership with Tapì.

Commitment to Responsible Progress

This collaboration represents more than just technical innovation; it signifies a shared commitment to responsible progress. By adopting small material changes, Tapì and Trinseo aim to reshape production practices and promote a sustainable future.
