New R&D Greenhouse Inauguration

On June 21, 2017, Clariant inaugurated a state-of-the-art R&D greenhouse at the Clariant Innovation Center (CIC) in Muttenz. This facility aims to enhance the company's support for addressing current and future agricultural challenges.

Advanced Testing Capabilities

The 400sqm greenhouse offers advanced emulation of environmental conditions such as humidity, light, rainfall, and temperature. This allows for real-life testing of novel crop protection, management, and yield-enhancement solutions, supplementing Clariant's existing laboratory facilities.

Focus Areas

The greenhouse will focus on reducing development time and speeding up market readiness for Plant Growth Regulators, Foliar Fertilizers, and Bio-herbicides. These areas have been identified as crucial for meeting current customer needs and future global food demands.
