Acquisition Completion
Evonik has finalized the acquisition of PeroxyChem Netherlands B.V., Delfzijl, making it a fully owned subsidiary of the Evonik Group. The transaction was completed on October 30, 2015, transferring the H2O2 business, including the production site and employees, to Evonik. The company has been renamed Evonik PeroxyChem Netherlands B.V.
Strategic Expansion
The addition of the Delfzijl plant strengthens Evonik’s hydrogen peroxide business, enabling the company to meet anticipated regional demand and improve customer service. This acquisition increases Evonik’s hydrogen peroxide production capacity in Europe to over 250,000 metric tons per year.
Existing Production Sites
Evonik already operates hydrogen peroxide production facilities in Rheinfelden, Germany; Antwerp, Belgium; and Weißenstein, Austria. The new acquisition complements these existing sites, further solidifying Evonik’s position in the European market.
