Relocation to Höchst Industrial Park

Rockwood Lithium GmbH is moving from its Frankfurt site to Höchst Industrial Park. The relocation, set for late October, will see the company take over office and laboratory areas in the southeast of the park. This move will house the Management, R&D, Global Marketing, and European Sales departments.

Company Overview

Rockwood Lithium employs 1,200 staff globally and reported an annual revenue of approximately 335 million Euros in 2012. The company is a global leader in lithium compounds and also provides cesium compounds and other metal product specialties based on zirconium, barium, and titanium. The company is part of US-based Rockwood Holdings, which focuses on inorganic specialties.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The move to Höchst Industrial Park addresses the lack of expansion possibilities at the former Frankfurt site. At the new location, Rockwood Lithium will occupy 7,000 square meters of cutting-edge office and lab space in a recently built research facility. The site operation company, Infraserv Höchst, has provided diverse special installations necessary for the company's high-level research activities.

Strategic Advantages

The new location offers several strategic advantages, including a convenient transport location and proximity to Frankfurt Airport. The park hosts a network of over 90 companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, related processing industries, and numerous special service providers, making it an attractive site for Rockwood Lithium.
