Wärmeversorgung Stavenhagen GmbH (WVS) is a municipal district heating company headquartered in Stavenhagen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It generates and distributes centralized heating to households and public institutions.
In partnership with EEW Energy from Waste Stavenhagen, WVS commissioned a system in 2026 that captures residual heat from sewage sludge thermal treatment for supply into the local network. The project supports circular economy goals, including planned phosphorus recovery, and contributes to municipal climate targets.
WVS operates with a focus on secure, convenient and environmentally friendly heat provision and plans further network expansion toward climate-neutral operations by 2027.
