Vioneo

Vioneo is a plastics and chemicals venture focused on decarbonizing polymer production. Launched by A.P. Moller Holding in 2024, the company aims to develop industrial-scale, fossil-free production of virgin polyethylene and polypropylene with full traceability.

Vioneo is progressing a site in Antwerp, Belgium, designed to use green methanol–based feedstocks and highly electrified processes powered by renewable energy. Its plans draw on established technologies for autoclave LDPE and polypropylene, with collaborations including engineering and technology partners to support front-end engineering design and catalyst supply. The company targets drop-in, low‑emission alternatives to conventional plastics and alignment with recognized certification schemes to ensure material segregation and chain-of-custody transparency.
