About Velocys

Velocys is a UK-based sustainable fuels technology company specializing in Fischer–Tropsch (FT) synthesis for converting waste, biomass, and low-carbon feedstocks into liquid hydrocarbons, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel. The company develops and supplies compact FT reactor systems (microFTL) and proprietary catalysts, and provides licensing, engineering support, and integration services to enable commercial-scale production of drop-in fuels from syngas generated via gasification or other routes.

Velocys works with project developers, engineering firms, and equipment manufacturers to deploy FT units within integrated waste-to-fuels and biomass-to-fuels plants worldwide. Its technology targets decarbonization of aviation and heavy transport by producing fuels that meet international specifications, and can be applied to a range of feedstocks from municipal solid waste and residues to biogenic streams and e-fuels pathways using renewable hydrogen and captured CO₂. Services span process design, reactor and catalyst supply, and ongoing technical support to de-risk project execution and accelerate time to operation.
