About traceless

traceless is a German biomaterials company developing and producing plastic alternatives made from plant-based agricultural by-products. Founded in 2020 and based in Hamburg, the company was co-founded by scientist Dr. Anne Lamp and operations specialist Johanna Baare.

traceless converts natural polymers from biomass residues into granulates and coating solutions that can be processed on standard plastics equipment (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, film and coating lines). The materials are bio-based, plastic-free, and designed to be home- and industrial-compostable, aiming to replace conventional plastics in applications where recycling is difficult.

Target uses include flexible and rigid packaging, paper and fiber coatings, and consumer goods. The company operates pilot-scale production and is scaling toward commercial volumes in collaboration with industrial partners and converters in the packaging value chain.
