Tollens is the consumer paints brand of Cromology Services SAS, a French company specializing in decorative coatings. It offers interior and exterior wall paints, including the Maxiline+ line, which incorporates BASF’s Acronal Ccycled styrene-acrylate binder made from pyrolysis oil derived from end-of-life tires via BASF’s ChemCycling process.
The recycled content is allocated through a third-party audited mass-balance system and certified under REDcert². A 10-liter container of Maxiline+ incorporates the equivalent of roughly two end-of-life tires, reducing fossil feedstock use and lowering the cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint while maintaining standard performance properties.
