Suomen Lantakaasu Oy is a Finnish biogas company focused on producing renewable energy from agricultural feedstocks. Established as a joint venture between St1 and dairy cooperative Valio, the company develops, builds, and operates industrial-scale plants that process livestock manure and other residues into upgraded biogas and liquefied biogas (LBG) for transport and other energy uses.
Its operating model aggregates manure from farms, refines the gas, and returns the nutrient-rich digestate as biofertilizer, supporting circular agriculture and reducing methane emissions. Suomen Lantakaasu is building a network of central plants and satellite facilities in Finland to scale LBG supply, with a focus on heavy-duty transport distribution via established fuel networks.
