About Styron

Styron is a global materials company focused on styrenics, latex binders, and synthetic rubber. Formed from businesses divested by The Dow Chemical Company, it later rebranded as Trinseo. The company supplies polymers and elastomers used in tires, automotive components, building and construction, consumer goods, medical devices, packaging, paper and board, and textiles.

Its portfolio includes solution and emulsion styrene‑butadiene rubber (including SSBR) for tire compounds; latex binders for paper, board, carpet, and specialty applications; and a range of styrenic plastics such as polystyrene, ABS, SAN, polycarbonate, and related compounds and blends. Styron operates manufacturing and R&D facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia to support regional and global customers, with activities spanning product development, compounding, and application testing.
