PPG Coatings Nederland B.V., known in the market as Sigma Coatings, is the Dutch business of PPG Industries. The company develops and supplies coatings for architectural, protective, and marine applications, including interior and exterior paints, primers, woodcare products, floor and façade systems, and solutions for corrosion and passive fire protection. Its portfolio also covers coatings for ships, offshore assets, and industrial maintenance.
Sigma Coatings serves professional painters, contractors, industrial asset owners, shipyards, and OEMs, with distribution through Sigma Service Centers and authorized wholesalers across the Netherlands. The brand originates from the former SigmaKalon group, which became part of PPG in 2008, and operates with a focus on technical support, specification guidance, and color services for professional users.
The Sigma EcoCollect initiative allows painters to return packaging for recycling, supporting PPG's sustainability goals and expanding to more locations after a successful pilot.
