Smart Delta Resources

About SDR

Smart Delta Resources (SDR) is a cross-border collaboration of energy- and resource-intensive companies, ports, governments, energy and network operators, and knowledge institutions in the Flemish-Dutch Scheldt Delta region, spanning parts of the Netherlands and Flanders, Belgium.

Established to support the transition to a competitive and climate-neutral industry by 2050, SDR coordinates initiatives in hydrogen, electrification, residual heat reuse, and related infrastructure projects across the region, including sites near Vlissingen, Terneuzen and Ghent.

It operates through separate Dutch (SDR NL) and Belgian (SDR Flanders) entities that collaborate on cross-border solutions for circularity and low-carbon energy.
