Ruse Chemicals is a chemical manufacturer based in Ruse, Bulgaria, and part of the POLICOLOR Group; Whitebeam Holdings Limited is the principal shareholder. The site has operated since 1991 under a BASF license.
The plant focuses on phthalic anhydride (around 22,000 t/y) and maleic anhydride (around 700 t/y). Facilities include crystallization and packaging units, production of chemically demineralized water, and incineration of liquid and solid waste. Output is supplied to regional markets, notably Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Greece, and Ukraine.
