ROSI is a French company founded in 2017 and headquartered near Grenoble, specializing in the recycling of end-of-life photovoltaic (PV) panels and production waste from the solar industry.
Its proprietary processes recover high-purity materials including silicon, silver, copper, aluminium, and glass, enabling their reintegration into PV manufacturing and other sectors. Unlike traditional methods that recover about 35% of value, ROSI achieves up to 95% economic value recovery.
The company operates ROSI Alpes, its first industrial-scale facility inaugurated in 2023 in France with an initial capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year, expanding toward 50,000 tonnes by 2027. It is developing a new 10,000-tonne plant in Teruel, Spain, under the EU-supported INSPIRE-PV project.
ROSI has secured over €20 million in Series B funding and grants from investors like InnoEnergy and the European Innovation Council. Partnerships include Soren for French collections and AGC Glass Europe for glass recycling.
