Owned by the nine municipalities in its service area, RENDO forms part of the RENDO Groep, which includes subsidiaries focused on energy transition advisory (N-TRA), measurement services (Enavi), and fiber optic networks (RE-NET). The company emphasizes sustainability and the energy transition, actively facilitating the injection of biomethane into its gas networks and exploring hydrogen distribution through pilot projects. It aims to achieve a fully sustainable gas network by 2030 by repurposing existing infrastructure.

As one of the smaller netbeheerders in the Netherlands, RENDO is regulated by the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) and collaborates with national operators like Gasunie on renewable gas transport initiatives. It maintains high reliability standards, with very low outage durations, and holds certifications such as ISO 9001 and VCA for quality and safety.

Also known as RENDO Netwerken and Regionaal Nutsbedrijf voor Zuid-Drenthe en Noord-Overijssel.
