The acquisition aims to drive innovation in plastics recycling, achieving full circularity by 2025. Quantafuel's technology converts waste plastics into raw materials for new plastics production.

The new plant will create 100 jobs, recycle 100,000 tonnes of plastic waste, and reduce CO2 emissions by 50%. It aims to be operational by 2024, supporting 200 jobs during construction.

The Skive plant is now in production, targeting Proof-of-Concept by year-end. New equipment performs well, with minor adjustments. The 2022 goal is processing 12,000 tonnes of plastics.

The investment will enhance pyrolysis technology, optimize chemical recycling, and license it. BASF gains first refusal rights on output, aiming to replace fossil resources and support sustainability goals.
