Quantafuel AS is a Norwegian technology company focused on chemical recycling of plastic waste. The company develops and operates plants that convert mixed and hard-to-recycle plastics into liquid hydrocarbons (pyrolysis oil) and process gas.
Quantafuel’s process combines pyrolysis with catalytic upgrading and purification to produce hydrocarbon streams that can be used by the chemicals industry as feedstock for new plastics and other products. By turning waste plastics into naphtha-like liquids for steam crackers, it supports circular material flows while diverting plastics from incineration and landfill; the gas generated is typically used to power plant operations.
Headquartered in Oslo, Quantafuel collaborates with waste management and petrochemical partners to scale industrial recycling capacity. It has operated an industrial plant in Skive, Denmark, and pursues additional projects in Europe to expand the supply of recycled feedstocks to downstream chemical and plastics manufacturers.
