The Prime Minister’s Office of Finland (Valtioneuvoston kanslia, VNK) is the central government office that supports the Prime Minister and coordinates the work of the Finnish Government (Valtioneuvosto). Based in Helsinki, it oversees preparation and implementation of the Government Programme, inter‑ministerial policy coordination, EU affairs, strategic foresight, government communications, and crisis preparedness.
While not a sector regulator, the office’s coordination of national policies and Finland’s EU positions shapes the country’s industrial and environmental policy framework, including areas relevant to the chemical industry such as regulation, sustainability targets, circular economy priorities, and innovation and competitiveness initiatives.
