PT Pertamina Malaysia Exploration Production (PMEP) is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Internasional Exploration and Production, part of Indonesia's state-owned Pertamina group. Incorporated in 2014 and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the company engages in upstream oil and gas exploration and production under production sharing contracts in the Sabah and Sarawak offshore regions.
PMEP holds participating interests in several blocks, including production assets SK309 (25.5%), SK311 (25.5%), and Block K (24%), plus exploration and development interests in SK510 (25%), SK314A (25.5%), and Block H. It operates primarily as a non-operator partner in joint ventures with entities such as PETRONAS Carigali.
Recent activity includes winning the SK510 block in the 2023 Malaysia Bid Round and participating in a 2026 multi-party memorandum of understanding to evaluate improved and enhanced oil recovery opportunities in mature offshore fields.
