PC JDA Limited

PC JDA Limited is a Malaysian upstream oil and gas company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbons in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA).

It operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, which itself is part of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), Malaysia's national oil and gas corporation. The company holds participating interests in Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) administered by the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA), including a 50 percent stake in Block B-17-01 alongside partner PTTEP International Limited (PTTEPI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Thailand's PTTEP.

Its core activities focus on natural gas and condensate production from offshore fields in the MTJDA, an area of overlapping continental shelf claims measuring approximately 7,250 square kilometres in the Gulf of Thailand. Operations support gas supply to Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand via dedicated sales agreements and have included extensions of PSC terms until 2039 along with block annexations to increase output.

PC JDA Limited participates in joint operating arrangements through entities such as PTTEP JDX & PC JDA Joint Operations Sdn Bhd (PPJO), formerly known as Carigali Hess Operating Company Sdn Bhd, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. This structure positions the company as a key contributor to regional energy security and a significant player in Southeast Asia's natural gas sector within the broader PETRONAS upstream portfolio.
