ORLEN Synthos Green Energy

About OSGE

ORLEN Synthos Green Energy (OSGE) is a Polish energy developer focused on deploying small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) to supply low‑emission electricity and industrial heat. The company is a joint venture of ORLEN and Synthos Green Energy, created to accelerate the commercialization of SMR technology in Poland.

OSGE works with GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy on the BWRX‑300 SMR design and aims to develop a fleet of units serving both the power grid and energy‑intensive industries. Its projects are intended to decarbonize operations such as refining, chemicals, and other process industries by providing reliable, low‑carbon power and process steam. Activities span site selection, licensing, project development and, ultimately, plant delivery and operation in line with Polish regulatory requirements.
