ORYX GTL Limited is a Qatar-based gas-to-liquids (GTL) manufacturer and joint venture between QatarEnergy and Sasol. The company operates a GTL facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City that converts natural gas into liquid hydrocarbons using Fischer–Tropsch technology (Sasol’s Slurry Phase Distillate process). The plant is regarded as a mid-sized GTL operation within Qatar’s industrial cluster.
ORYX GTL’s product slate focuses on GTL diesel and naphtha, with by-products such as liquefied petroleum gas and light hydrocarbons. Its diesel is characterized by ultra-low sulfur content and high cetane, while its naphtha serves as a petrochemical feedstock. The company contributes to Qatar’s downstream and export value chains by supplying transportation fuels and feedstocks to regional and international markets.
