About Ørsted A/S

Ørsted A/S is a Danish renewable energy company that develops, builds, owns, and operates offshore wind farms, with additional activities in onshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage. The company operates across Europe, North America, and the Asia–Pacific region. Formerly known as DONG Energy, it rebranded to Ørsted in 2017 following the divestment of its oil and gas business. Ørsted is headquartered in Denmark and is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen.

For industrial customers, including the chemical sector, Ørsted supplies long-term renewable power through corporate power purchase agreements and is advancing Power-to-X projects that produce renewable hydrogen and other e-fuels for use in chemicals, refining, and maritime applications. The company also operates biomass-based combined heat and power assets and district heating in Denmark, supporting broader energy system decarbonization.
