ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), India's flagship national oil company. Headquartered in New Delhi, it focuses on the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas resources outside India, holding participating interests in assets across 17 countries.
Incorporated in 1965 and rebranded in 1989, OVL operates as a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It ranks as India's second-largest petroleum company by reserves and production after its parent. In November 2024, it acquired additional stakes in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field and BTC pipeline in Azerbaijan.
