NWO (Nord-West Oelleitung GmbH) is a German energy infrastructure operator based in Wilhelmshaven. The company runs the marine oil terminal at Wilhelmshaven and associated pipeline assets that enable the import, storage, and transport of crude oil to refineries and industrial sites in northwestern Germany. Its infrastructure supports reliable feedstock supply to the refining and petrochemical value chain.
In line with Germany’s energy transition, NWO is participating in initiatives to repurpose or adapt parts of existing pipeline infrastructure for hydrogen transport. Working with transmission operators and industrial partners, the company is assessing conversion opportunities to help establish future hydrogen corridors linking Wilhelmshaven with industrial regions in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia.
