Noventra Limited is Pakistan's sole manufacturer of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA), a key petrochemical intermediate used in the production of polyester staple fiber, filament yarn, film, and PET resin for packaging and textiles. The company operates its primary production facility at Port Qasim in Karachi's Eastern Industrial Zone, supported by on-site infrastructure including a 40 MW co-generation plant.
Headquartered in Karachi, Noventra is a publicly listed company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (formerly under ticker LOTCHEM). It was established in 1998 and has undergone several ownership changes, including acquisition by Lotte Chemical Corporation in 2009 and a subsequent sale in 2025 to PTA Global Holding Limited, a joint venture between Montage Commodities FZCO and AsiaPak Investments. In October 2026, the company rebranded from LOTTE Chemical Pakistan Limited to Noventra Limited.
Noventra holds a strategic position in Pakistan's petrochemical industry as the only domestic PTA producer, enabling local downstream manufacturers and reducing import dependence. The company focuses on operational excellence, safety, and environmental standards while pursuing technology upgrades, such as the recent retrofit license agreement with Koch Technology Solutions for its PTA facility.
