North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) is the operator of the North Caspian Project under the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement in Kazakhstan. The company oversees development and production at the giant offshore Kashagan field and nearby discoveries in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea, integrating artificial island production facilities with the Bolashak Onshore Processing Facility near Atyrau. NCOC is a consortium that includes KazMunayGas, Eni, ExxonMobil, Shell, TotalEnergies, CNPC, and INPEX.

NCOC produces crude oil, condensate, and associated gas with high hydrogen sulfide content, employing gas reinjection and sour-gas processing to manage reservoir conditions and emissions. It delivers stabilized hydrocarbons and elemental sulfur, and runs extensive programs in environmental protection, safety, and local supplier development. The project is a major source of feedstock for regional refining and petrochemical value chains and represents one of Kazakhstan’s largest industrial developments.
