New Brunswick Power Corporation, operating as NB Power (French: Énergie NB), is a provincial Crown corporation and the primary electric utility in New Brunswick, Canada. Established in 1920, it is responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity to over 400,000 customers across the province.
NB Power operates a diverse fleet of 14 generating stations with a total capacity of approximately 3,800 MW, including hydroelectric, thermal (coal, oil, natural gas, diesel), the 705 MW Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station—the only nuclear facility in Atlantic Canada—and a solar farm. It maintains 6,900 km of transmission lines and 21,800 km of distribution lines, while also managing power purchase agreements for an additional 600 MW, including renewables.
As a vertically integrated utility owned by the Government of New Brunswick, NB Power focuses on providing reliable, safe, and sustainable energy solutions, supporting the province's transition to cleaner energy sources.
