METHANAVE is a specialist firm active in the marine fuels sector, with involvement in low-carbon bunkering operations. It participated in one of the first global ethanol bunkering events for a seagoing vessel, supplying fuel to the container ship Eco Levant in the port of Rotterdam. The operation delivered methanol and ethanol as separate batches via a single inland bunker vessel; the fuels were then blended onboard into a 90% biomethanol and 10% second-generation ethanol mix certified under ISCC EU standards.
