JGC Fluor BC LNG II JV is a Canadian joint venture company formed specifically to deliver engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning services for the Phase 2 expansion of the LNG Canada liquefied natural gas export facility located in Kitimat, British Columbia.
The entity is owned on a 50/50 basis by Fluor Canada Ltd. and JGC Constructors (No2) BC Ltd., subsidiaries of the major international engineering and construction firms Fluor Corporation and JGC Corporation, respectively. It builds directly on the same partners' successful execution of Phase 1 of the project, which involved two liquefaction trains and supporting infrastructure that began producing LNG in 2025.
For Phase 2, the JV is responsible for adding two new liquefaction trains, an additional LNG storage tank, expanded processing and utility systems, condensate storage, an extra loading berth, and enhanced shipping capabilities. This work will double the overall facility capacity to approximately 28 million tonnes per annum.
Operating from its primary base in Kitimat, the JV focuses on large-scale energy infrastructure in the LNG sector. It supports Canada's position as a supplier of lower-carbon natural gas to global markets under a 40-year export licence. The structure reflects a collaborative model between leading EPC contractors for complex, multibillion-dollar energy projects.
