Infinite Loop Europe SAS

Infinite Loop Europe SAS is a French joint venture company incorporated in December 2024 and headquartered in Paris. It was formed to develop, finance, construct, own, and operate chemical recycling facilities across Europe using Loop Industries' patented depolymerization technology.

The company is owned 90 percent by Reed Circular Economy, an affiliate of Reed – Societe Generale Group, and 10 percent by Loop Industries. Its core activities focus on converting post-consumer PET waste, including bottles, packaging, and polyester textiles such as carpets and clothing, into base monomers that are purified and repolymerized into virgin-quality Loop™ PET resin and Twist™ polyester fiber suitable for food-grade and textile applications.

Infinite Loop Europe is advancing its first project, a 70,000 metric tons per annum facility at the BASF Industriepark Lausitz in Schwarzheide, Germany. The plant is in the early engineering and permitting phase with commercial operations targeted for 2030. It is expected to create around 150 jobs and deliver significant environmental benefits by avoiding up to five tons of CO₂ emissions per ton of recycled PET produced compared to fossil-based alternatives.

As the first licensee of Loop's technology in Europe, the company supports the transition to a circular plastics economy, addressing supply gaps for high-quality recycled content amid supportive EU regulations on plastics recycling and sustainability.
