Established in 1976, Hydrasun specializes in hydraulic hoses, instrumentation, precision-engineered systems, and related services for oil and gas, industrial, marine, renewables, defence, and hydrogen sectors. The company designs, assembles, installs, and maintains systems critical to fluid and gas handling, with expanding capabilities in hydrogen technologies including electrolyser integration, refuelling infrastructure, and modular systems.

Hydrasun operates across multiple countries with facilities in the United Kingdom, United States, Netherlands, Germany, and Azerbaijan, employing more than 500 people. It forms a core part of the D2Zero group, a decarbonisation platform backed by private equity firm SCF Partners that encompasses complementary businesses such as Fuel Cell Systems and Score Group, focusing on emissions reduction, clean hydrogen, and energy efficiency.

In 2026, Hydrasun entered a framework agreement with Nel ASA to act as the European integration partner for Nel’s containerized PEM electrolyser solutions, investing in upgraded production capabilities at its Aberdeen site to assemble balance-of-plant systems. This development underscores its role in supporting the energy transition while leveraging decades of expertise in demanding energy environments.
