Holcim (Česko), a.s. is a Czech cement and building materials producer operating a major integrated cement plant in Čížkovice, near Litoměřice in the Ústí nad Labem Region. The facility, with roots dating to 1898, extracts limestone from a nearby quarry and produces a wide range of cements including Portland, slag, and blended varieties, along with limestone products for industrial applications such as flue gas desulfurization.
The company forms part of the global Holcim Group Ltd, a Swiss multinational headquartered in Zug that employs more than 45,000 people across approximately 44 markets. Holcim (Česko), a.s. focuses on sustainable construction solutions, recently commissioning Europe’s first dedicated calcined clay line in the Czech Republic at its Čížkovice site. This CZK 1 billion investment, partially funded by the national Modernization Fund, enables annual production of over 115,000 tons of calcined clay and supports output of 580,000 tons of low-carbon ECOPlanet cement with around 30% lower CO₂ emissions.
