HAY ApS (HAY) is a Danish design company based in Copenhagen, founded in 2002 by Mette and Rolf Hay. The company develops contemporary furniture, lighting, and accessories for residential, office, and hospitality environments, working closely with international designers and industrial manufacturing partners.
HAY’s portfolio spans seating, tables, storage, lighting, textiles, and outdoor pieces, using materials such as molded plastics, powder-coated metals, aluminum, engineered wood, foams, and upholstery fabrics and leathers. Its designs are distributed globally through retailers, brand stores, and e-commerce. HAY is a majority-owned brand within MillerKnoll (formerly Herman Miller), connecting it to large-scale supply chains and material sourcing relevant to furniture, textiles, and surface finishes.
