Happy Cups B.V. is a Netherlands-based company focused on sustainable drink cups manufactured from PHA bioplastics. These materials are produced via bacterial fermentation using organic residual streams as feedstock, resulting in fossil-free and fully biodegradable products without microplastics. The firm is part of the plesTic Ready consortium in Northern Netherlands, which is advancing food-grade certification for its Caleyda® PHA through an EFRO-funded project involving partners such as H&P Moulding, NHL Stenden, WUR and SUSPACC.
