Forestal (Forestal del Atlántico, S.A.) is a Spanish chemical company based in Galicia that focuses on methanol-derived intermediates and related chemical products.
The company produces formaldehyde solutions and derivatives such as hexamethylenetetramine (hexamine) and amino resins for wood-based panels and other industrial uses. It also operates bulk liquid storage and logistics facilities, including methanol handling and distribution in the Ferrol port area (Mugardos, A Coruña), supporting regional chemical and industrial supply chains.
Partner missed key milestones despite extensions, triggering automatic termination. Company still has a 50 MW offtake in place and will complete an SOEC commercialization roadmap by end Q2 2026.
